Reset all patient passwords
For security reasons, you can require all patients to reset their PatientAccess passwords.
Note: Resetting patient passwords may impact on the system's performance; therefore, we recommend that you reset passwords for PatientAccess account holders at the end of the day.
To require all patients to reset their passwords:
- Open the PAAdmin page.
- In the Settings tab, select the Password Reset page.
- Select the Reset All Patient Passwords button.
A message appears indicating that you're about to reset the passwords of all patients who have PatientAccess accounts. It also indicates that patients will receive a message with a link to change their passwords; by default, the link will expire in 5 days.
- Select Yes to confirm the reset of all passwords for PatientAccess account holders.
axiUm resets the passwords and generates a new temporary password, and sends all patients with a PatientAccess account a message.
The email template is similar to the email we send our patients when they reset their passwords in PatientAccess.
To edit the default text:
- In the Settings tab, select the Password Reset page.
- In the Labels/Messages box, select the text and then type the new text.
- Select the Save button.
Note: Patients who have an account, but cannot sign in to PatientAccess (locked patients or children) will not receive an email.
